1This paper explores the benefits of networked flash storage deployed on an to improve three vertical application areas, server , database and video media delivery:
· The high latency characteristic of spinning hard disks is often the number one factor for poor performance of machines or backups.

· Similarly, in any storage system, the latency of the disks is the number one factor that paces the achievable IOPS, (I/O per second).

· Content caching and delivery applications are famous for the bandwidth and capacity demands they place on both the network and storage subsystems. When designing a high bandwidth solution, the number one challenge for storage has been the quantity of rotational disks needed to "feed" the ATCA fabric.

The ATCA2000 SSD blade revolutionizes the bandwidth and capacity achievable with a single ATCA slot. It eliminates the cost, space, management and power requirements of an external storage device without losing any functionality and performance. The ATCA2000 improves system MTBF, system performance and system capacity, and does it all in a single slot ATCA footprint.
